Clean hands. That’s music to our ears…or at least now it can be.

Scrubber is your hand-washing soundtrack— 20 seconds of music selected right from your most played Spotify tracks of the week, played through a DIY sudsy soundsystem. When you press down on the soap pump, you’ll hear your favorite jams coming right out of the dispenser as a way to time hygienic hand-washing. All you need is a soap dispenser, a Spotify account, and a few common electronic parts listed below. Find the code and assembly instructions on Deeplocal’s GitHub. Check out the video below ⬇️.

MAKE YOUR OWN

About this project:

Scrubber is the first project of our “Cabin Fever” series. During this pandemic, we’re applying our creative engineering expertise to some exploratory work. Some of it is aiming to help solve real challenges that the medical community is facing, and some are maker projects that inject a little bit of fun into all of our lives. Like so many people right now, we hope to use what we have to provide others with help, solutions, or just a bit of joy.
