Lyft cars play Grammy-nominated songs with the sounds of their alarms and horns.
Lyft wanted to celebrate the 60th Grammys in New York City with a clever, subversive stunt. We teamed up to create a roving orchestra of tricked-out Lyft cars that played Grammys hits with their horns, alarms, wipers, and speakers. Each car also had a custom receiver installed that enabled us to control them from a single transmitter. We parked the cars in permitted lots, set off the alarms to gather a crowd, and triggered the show remotely to their surprise & delight. Lyft cars played chart-topping songs such as “Despacito.” The stunt went viral and had car horn hits stuck in everyone’s head for days.

“Lyft now has me bobbing my head to horns and car alarms. Without even trying, the company just created the world’s first autonomous car boyband.”
