We hit the road with Meta to see what happens when you add a 4D sensory experience to the scariest game in VR.
To promote the release of Resident Evil 4 in VR, we tricked out a 1941 pickup truck—stripping it down to the frame and building it back up into an immersive Quest 2 gaming environment. Our first stop: a college campus in LA. Unsuspecting students suited up and faced terrors made real—floor haptics, air cannons, lighting effects, foam, slime, and more pushed gameplay to the extremes. We documented it all, released the video online, and continued the campaign with stops at Twitch and the Game Awards.
