We wanted to celebrate Spooky Season and build something that demonstrates the power, promise, and pitfalls of AI.
We found inspiration in séances: humans conversing with unseen forces to tap into unimaginably vast amounts of information. Experts in AI and the occult will agree——while entertaining and even insightful, information from these realms isn’t inherently trustworthy.
More fun than fright, the Séance Bot blends the power of LLMs with traditional form factors to channel intelligence of the artificial—not otherwordly—kind. Using speech-to-text technology, users converse with a supernatural cast of characters from fiction, urban legends, and history, then watch as the magic unfolds.
