Meta Quest Extraordinary Windows
Challenge
As the holidays approached, Meta Reality Labs aimed to showcase the Meta Quest 2’s VR capabilities. We created a pop-up retail space in downtown NYC, with themed window displays doubling as interactive demo pods for guests to try popular Quest 2 games.
Strategy
Each windowpane offered a glimpse into a different immersive world. Visitors joined in by slashing cubes in Beat Saber, living out QB dreams in NFL PRO ERA, battling in Eleven Table Tennis, and exploring space in Space Explorers. Passersby watched from outside while guests inside tried the Quest 2, made holiday purchases, wrapped gifts, and grabbed giveaways.
Bringing virtual reality into the real world
Each demo pod mirrored a Quest 2 game—NFL PRO ERA had turf, hand-painted details, and stadium lights, while Space Explorers featured a metal floor grid, vinyl paneling, and a spaceship-inspired portal window.

Hands-on gameplay, after hours
During non-demo hours, passersby could raise their hands to the “touch to see gameplay” icons, triggering content on the LED walls—turning every glance inside into a moment to savor.
